Irresistibly Yours- death of a child. It happens years before the beginning of the book and is told in retrospect.

Love’s Redemption- This one seems to upset my readers the most. You can tell Izzy is a broken individual from the beginning. Later, you find out she was raped by a preacher at the age of 12. I do not describe it because this book is meant as a tool to heal. Izzy finds redemption in the most beautiful way. Why did I write this? I went through something similar, and yes, it was a preacher.

There is also a child death in this book told in retrospect.

The Spencer Family Series- Ma Spencer, the most beloved character in the series, dies in book 3(What Matters Most). Why? When I decided to spin a series from Mistletoe Kiss, the scene of Ma dying was one of the first to play out in my head. I’m not a plotter, so I had no idea how her death was going to end up being the backbone of growth for her family. Wade became the strong protector, Belva learned forgiveness, Chase’s character grew sweeter and more loving, Jolene found salvation, and Zane learned responsibility- all as a result of Ma’s death.

Waiting For You- cancer, abusive ex-husband

When Forever Fades- cheating spouse(with repentance and forgiveness)

What Matters Most- adultery(with redemption), cancer, death of mother

All of my fantasy books have violence. It’s war, baby! Blood will be shed.

None of my sweet romances need a warning. I don’t think. If you read one and think it needs one, please let me know.
